To promote conservation education for our young people on the lake, the Birch Lake Association offers two scholarships each year for Summer Camps at the Deep Portage Learning Center. Generally, we award scholarships to the Izaak Walton League camp or similar programs. The minimum age is 12 years old.
To apply for a scholarship, the student must write a letter stating why he/she would benefit from attending a Deep Portage Summer Camp. Send the letter to:

Our 2016 Deep Portage Scholarship went to Bennet and Branden Capelle, both went to Forkhorn I camp.
